Florence + the Machine Announce Everybody Scream

F

lorence + the Machine have announced their sixth studio album, Everybody Scream, set for release on October 31. The announcement was paired with the release of the title track on August 20, along with a video directed by Autumn de Wilde.

The record arrives three years after Dance Fever, the band’s 2022 release. For this new album, Florence Welch collaborated with Mark Bowen of IDLES, Aaron Dessner of The National, and Mitski. Writing and recording stretched across two years, with Welch describing the project as one that looks at mortality, mysticism, healing, and the changes that come with aging.

The release of the single “Everybody Scream” marked the start of the album campaign. The video, directed by de Wilde, launched the same day and introduced the visual aesthetic of the new era. Its theatrical imagery complements the song while setting the stage for the full record to follow in the fall.

Preorders for Everybody Scream are available now through the official Florence + the Machine store. Formats include CD, vinyl, and limited special editions. With its Halloween release date and dramatic title, the album is already one of the year’s most anticipated releases for fans of Florence Welch and her band.
