llison Scagliotti, the artist behind the gothic music project La Femme Pendu, has announced that her catalog will no longer be available on Spotify. In an Instagram post she wrote, “For a litany of reasons, La Femme Pendu will no longer be available on Spotify. You can still stream her on all other platforms or support directly on @bandcamp.”*
La Femme Pendu is Scagliotti’s concept project described as “the demonic feminine in heavy reverb.” Drawing inspiration from horror, occult symbolism, and the twelfth card in the tarot’s Major Arcana, the music reimagines gothic storytelling through a cinematic lens. Her latest body of work, The Wheel of the Year, channels a song for each solstice, equinox, and cross-quarter holiday. Previous releases include Absolute Horror, VAMPYR, Les Ballets Tragiques, The Legend of the River King, and All of Them Witches.
While Spotify listeners will no longer find her work on the platform, Scagliotti has emphasized that La Femme Pendu remains available across other streaming services, with Bandcamp continuing to be the most direct way to support the project.
