lt-rock band The Yagas, fronted by Oscar- and Emmy-nominated actress Vera Farmiga, has announced their debut album Midnight Minuet, due out April 25.
Known for her commanding presence on screen, Farmiga now leads a project steeped in heavy atmosphere, emotional charge, and metal-laced textures. The Yagas blend alt-rock moodiness with brooding arrangements and raw, haunted vocals. The band includes Renn Hawkey of Deadsy on keys, Jason Bowman on drums, Mark Visconti on guitar, and Mike Davis on bass.
Following previous singles “The Crying Room” and “She’s Walking Down”, the band has just released a new track: “Life Of A Widow.” The song unfurls with restraint and ache, threading themes of grief through layers of distortion and melody—a vivid preview of the sound and emotional weight Midnight Minuet has to offer.
Expect layered riffs, aching vocals, and a shadow-drenched sound that leans into metal and alt-rock influences without losing its strange, intimate heart. Midnight Minuet arrives April 25.
