nnie Lennox is preparing to share her story in a new way. The legendary singer and activist will release Retrospective, her first illustrated memoir, on September 16. Published by Rizzoli New York, the book gathers more than 200 images alongside Lennox’s reflections on a career that spans music, art, and activism.
To mark the release, Lennox has planned a series of public events. In the United Kingdom, she will appear at the V&A Museum in London on September 26 for a conversation with podcaster Deborah Frances-White. Soon after, she heads to the United States for several dates in October, November, and December. On October 11 she will be in New Jersey at the Carteret Performing Arts Center, speaking with playwright and activist V (formerly Eve Ensler). On October 14 she joins music journalist Lori Majewski at The Cooper Union’s Great Hall in New York City, followed by a signing at Rizzoli Bookstore on October 15.
The tour then moves to Los Angeles on November 2 for an event with Live Talks LA, once again in conversation with Majewski. Lennox will return to Los Angeles on December 9 for a signing at Book Soup, offering West Coast fans a final opportunity to mark the release of Retrospective.
Each appearance gives audiences a chance to hear Lennox reflect not only on her work with Eurythmics and her solo career, but also on her decades of humanitarian advocacy. Tickets to the events include a copy of Retrospective, making them both a launch celebration and a personal encounter with one of music’s most distinctive voices.
