Bella Rios shares new version of “Have Yourself A Merry Little Christmas”

ising singer-songwriter Bella Rios has released her take on the holiday classic “Have Yourself A Merry Little Christmas.” The single arrives just ahead of the festive season, offering a fresh interpretation of the beloved song first performed by Judy Garland in Meet Me in St. Louis.

Produced by Grammy-winning engineer Geoff Sanoff (Bruce Springsteen, Jesse Malin), the track stays true to the original melody while highlighting Rios’s smooth, controlled vocals. It follows her recent duet with Benjamin Foley on a gender-flipped version of “Baby, It’s Cold Outside,” which reimagined the standard through a contemporary lens.

Since graduating from Princeton earlier this year, Rios has relocated to Nashville to focus on music full-time. She began studying classical piano at the age of five and grew up surrounded by her parents’ record collection, which included Queen, Fleetwood Mac, and Aerosmith. Her influences later expanded to artists like Adele, P!nk, and Lady Gaga, shaping her blend of pop and rock across both her songwriting and performance style.

Rios released her second EP, Right Now, this summer, following her 2023 debut Sincerely, which earned praise from outlets including SPIN and MTV. Her song “Ever After” was featured on MTV’s Spankin’ New and added to playlists by TIDAL and Live Nation’s Ones To Watch, while her music also appeared in the Hulu Original film Prom Dates.

Online, Rios continues to connect with audiences through her viral TikTok series “Pressing Record Every Time a Song Gets Stuck in My Head,” which has drawn attention from artists such as Maren Morris, Sam Barber, and X Ambassadors.

With new releases arriving in quick succession, Rios closes out 2025 by bringing her voice to one of the most enduring holiday songs of all time.
