As the Mother Church filled with eager fans, anticipation hung thick in the air for a night of soul-stirring music.

Brittney Spencer kicked off the night by opening for Potter. Spencer effortlessly commanded the stage with her soulful voice and poignant songwriting. The country roots shone brightly throughout her set as she delivered heartfelt lyrics that captivated the audience. One particularly standout moment was when she invited guitar virtuoso Grace Bowers to join her on stage for a song.

Spencer’s performance was a testament to her talent and artistry, leaving the audience wanting more by the end of her set. If the crowd didn’t know who she was before the show, they surely would know after. Her ability to connect with the crowd on a personal level, coupled with her impressive vocal range and stage presence, solidified her as a rising star.

Kicking off her set with “Lady Vagabond,” Grace Potter wasted no time in showcasing her powerhouse vocals and dynamic stage presence. The audience was immediately drawn in by her electrifying energy as she effortlessly commanded the stage.

Throughout the evening, Potter treated the audience to a diverse selection of tracks from her latest album, “Mother Road,” as well as fan favorites from her extensive catalog, as well as a few covers. Tracks like “Medicine,” “Empty Heart,” and “Something That I Want” (now viral on TikTok) energized the crowd, each song delivered with a fire that only Grace Potter can evoke.

One of the highlights of the evening came when Potter invited rising star Brittney Spencer to join her on stage for a captivating rendition of “You and Tequila,” a cover of Deana Carter’s classic hit. The duo performing together created a magical moment for the crowd.

As the night progressed, Potter continued to captivate with her soulful delivery, particularly during the heartfelt “Stars” and the stunning “Big White Gate.” The band’s (Kurtis Keber, Ricky Dover Jr, Jordan West, and Indya Bratton) chemistry was palpable, with each member contributing to the electrifying atmosphere that filled the Ryman.

Closing out the evening, Potter delighted the audience with a rendition of the Sons of the Pioneers’ classic “Tumbling Tumbleweeds,” bringing the night to a fitting conclusion.
