Celine Dion Dansons single announcement

Celine Dion Releases New French Song “Dansons”

eline Dion has released a new song, “Dansons,” marking her first original track in several years.

The French-language single was written by Jean-Jacques Goldman, a longtime collaborator who played a major role in shaping some of the most important moments in Dion’s career. Their history goes back decades, including the 1995 album D’eux, which remains the best-selling French-language album of all time, and later work like “Encore un soir” in 2016.

“Dansons” continues that partnership, bringing Dion back to the French material that defined her early years. The song leans into themes of resilience and connection, focusing on the idea of continuing forward even when things feel uncertain.

Goldman originally wrote the track in 2020, during a time when much of the world was in lockdown. Reflecting on it now, he noted that while the circumstances have changed, the sentiment still holds. The world may look different, but not necessarily steadier, and the instinct to keep going, to keep moving, is still there.

A lyric video for the song was released alongside the track, filmed ברח Paris and directed by Maxime Allouche, using the city’s streets as its backdrop.

The release comes as Dion prepares for her return to live performance. She is set to begin a five-week residency at Paris La Défense Arena, with sixteen shows scheduled between September and October 2026. The run is being positioned as the start of a new chapter as she steps back onto the stage.
